Minimum Requirements
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Appropriate cleaning experience at a health facility or hospital.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
- Willingness to work overtime and shifts.
- Public holiday and night duty applies only at Michael Mapongwana CDC.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, independently and without supervision.
- Ability to accept responsibility and accountability.
- Ability to handle conflict and work under pressure.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning and maintain cleaning equipment.
- Dust, sweep, polish, scrub and mop floors, passages and furniture.
- Empty dustbins.
- Sort soiled linen according to the correct procedures.
- Use cleaning agents and stock effectively.
- Maintain general hygiene and a safe environment.
- Handle cleaning equipment safely.
- Assist with offloading and unpacking stock.
- Perform relief duties when required.
