🧾 Job Overview
FlySafair is hiring First Officers to join their Flight Deck Crew across multiple bases in South Africa. Successful candidates will report directly to the Fleet Captain and play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient flight operations.
✈️ Key Responsibilities
🔹 Flight Operations
- Ensure safety of flight at all times
- Monitor aircraft systems and flight path
- Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks
- Navigate and operate the aircraft
- Communicate with crew, passengers, and service providers
- Ensure compliance with SACAA and company regulations
- Submit accurate flight documentation
- Assume command if Captain becomes incapacitated
🔹 Pre-Flight Duties
- Review flight route, weather, and briefing documents
- Perform all required checks and documentation
- Assist with fuel planning and operational decisions
🔹 In-Flight Duties
- Execute and monitor all flight procedures
- Monitor instruments (altitude, speed, heading)
- Report any abnormalities immediately
- Handle communication (R/T) when required
🔹 Post-Flight Duties
- Complete all procedures as per manuals
- Submit reports and documentation (IQSMS)
🎓 Minimum Requirements
✔️ Grade 12 (Matric)
✔️ SACAA Commercial Pilot License (Essential)
✔️ Class 1 SACAA Medical (Essential)
✔️ Multi-Crew experience (Essential)
✔️ Minimum 1500 flight hours (incl. 500 multi-turbine hours)
✔️ Valid SA ID & Passport
✔️ Driver’s License & own transport
✔️ No criminal record
✔️ Willing to work irregular hours
✔️ Willing to undergo drug & alcohol testing

- Experience on jets over 20 tons
